Fatal Exception Error

We used to believe we could find the future of music in a five second drum loop
              from 1969
We used to believe the world would end whenever it was numerically
              convenient
We used to believe the moon was made of green cheese
We used to believe in happy endings
In work ethic
(We used to be brought up to believe that someone would be there to kill my
              snakes for me)
It was all so clear once upon a time
Things were so much simpler "back then"
Everybody knows the good guy gets the girl and the bad guy gets a grave
It's the immutable law of the universe
The strong shall live and the weak shall die
The poor are pavement for the rich high rise
Anything we at the top do to anyone else is consequence free
Money heals all wounds
Reality is begging to be tailored to the needs of those with the power to shape
              it
The closer we get to a custom-built life experience, the more we'll be able to
              ignore
And this existence is sustainable forever.
No take-backs.
Privilege hath its ranks
The winner is the one with all of it all.
Everything.
Nothing short will do.
And when that is achieved, more will have to be found.
And it will go on forever.
There can be only one.
ONE.
Things have gone from "Let Them Eat Cake" to "Let Us Eat Kate".
"Enough" is obsolete.
A primeval concept forgotten to the mists of time.
For those who've not tasted the cloying, craven cup of avarice,
They can be content.
Every man a King and every home a Castle.
Every meal a Feast.
Forever.
Never to get worse.
Never to decline in quality.
Or quantity.
Fuel to burn, money to burn, time to burn and bridges to burn.
It will be this way forever.
Why go anywhere?
Those that have been cursed with Privilege
Hunger.
Endlessly.
They don't covet your goods because you have something they want.
They simply don't want anyone else to have anything at all.
And none of this is doing anything to the environment.
No siree Bob.
I recently purchased a bag of Life Savers for the first time in about fifteen years.
Inside the bag they were individually wrapped.
All cellophane.
All petroleum.
All going into the ground as non-biodegradable malformation.
I sat in line for twenty minutes one night
In line for fast food.
All five cars in the driveway were running.
Burning fuel just because.
To get food we don't really need
And may not even truly want.
MODERN LIFE IS NOT SUSTAINABLE.
And it will never change.
It will simply end.

The onus is on us.
What now?
