I've covered a similar pricing snafu before, so this shouldn't be news to anybody.  But still, 97 bones for a bottle of Renuzit?  No thanks.

Yes, I bought the bottle of Dr. Pepper at the same time as the vinyl copy of "Chinese Democracy", and yes, it was almost as much as the album, which was marked down to $1.99.  Vinyl copies of newer albums usually go for $20-$30, but Best Buy was stuck with so much back stock when it turned out nobody gave a shit about Axl Rose in 2008 that they had to get...creative (read: desperate).  It also helps if you know about Dr. Pepper jokingly announcing that everyone in the world would get a free soda if the album came out before the end of the year and when they failed to be able to pony up due to website problems, Guns N' Roses sued the SHIT out of them, going so fa…

Municipally Mandated Digital Tumbleweed Cleanup

I ain't posted JACK SHIT in awhile, and for that, I apologize.  I've been so burnt out on writing since The Big Four Song Challenge Series, that I haven't even thought about it.  But now that I've got a keyboard back underneath me, it feels good, and I figured I'd just give y'all a lil' (and I do emphasize "lil'") sum'n sum'n:

I was watching ESPN tonight, and I saw the news that the Pittsburgh Pirates made the playoffs for the first time since 1992.  A kid born on the day they last made the playoffs would be able to drink this coming Sunday.

That being said, there's a lot of different angles a sports news network could take with this, even with their crawler coverage.  The way they chose to go was as follows:

"Miller: 3-4, 2 HR; 2nd catcher with 2 HR in a winner-take-all postseason game (Y. Berra in 1956 World Series)".
