SUMMER HIT MIX 2024, PART II: THE DOG DAYS

 

 

Before last...fall, was it?  We'll say fall for the sake of argument.  Before last fall, no playlist had ever been 40 tracks long.  Now we're here and this trim 40 songs is ten less than last time...but last time was still the same season.  (Though that's kinda fucked because "Summer Hit Mix Part I" dropped May 20th.  That was only two months after the "Spring Hit Mix", and now we're almost exactly three months after "Summer Hit Mix Part I".)

TL;DR: A lot of fucking good songs have dropped this year!

And this was a weird list to compile, because I had 50 tracks, weeded it down to 35, then I realized it was Thursday, so I should just wait for new music to drop and it shot back up to 43, then when I sequenced it, fell down to 40 again.

What's it sound like?  Indie vibes with proggy and dance influences.  It'll make sense when you hear it.
